At three years old, Rob McCowan sat in the gravel driveway of his family’s home attempting to build a miniature stone house inspired by The Flintstones. It was an early sign of the curiosity that would define his life: observe how something works, learn how to recreate it, and then imagine how it might be done differently.
Today, Rob is a multidisciplinary artist, graphic designer, AI visual strategist, and creative entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in design, digital imaging, print production, branding, and visual storytelling.
His career began in professional graphics and print production, where he developed extensive experience managing complex creative projects, producing high-quality visual materials, operating large-format printing systems, and translating ideas into finished physical products. During his time in corporate production environments, Rob became known for creative problem-solving, technical precision, strong client service, and the ability to manage projects from concept through final installation.
As a freelance creative professional, Rob has expanded his work across graphic design, web design, artificial intelligence imaging, social media content, video production, branding, fine-art printing, murals, apparel, and digital product development. He works with platforms and tools including Adobe Creative Cloud, Wix, Shopify, AI image-generation systems, video-production software, and emerging creative technologies.
Rob’s creative process is rooted in observation. He has always studied people, objects, systems, and environments with the same recurring questions: How was that made? How can I learn it? What would happen if I approached it differently?
That mindset has allowed him to move comfortably between artistic disciplines and technical challenges without being confined to a single niche. Whether he is creating artwork, developing a brand, building a website, designing a visual campaign, or shaping a new digital product, Rob approaches each project as both an artist and a problem-solver.
He is the founder of Odd Hourz Creative, an art and apparel brand focused on visually distinctive work created outside conventional creative boundaries. The name reflects his broader philosophy: “odd hours” are not simply late-night hours—they are the moments when someone chooses to think, create, explore, and work differently from the masses.
Across every project, Rob’s mission remains consistent: combine imagination, technology, craftsmanship, and practical problem-solving to create work that is meaningful, useful, and built to last.
His long-term vision is to establish a digital art gallery and professional fine-art print facility where artists, collectors, businesses, and communities can experience original visual work produced with exceptional quality and presence.
