My Story

Hi, I’m Robert McCowan, Dad, Artist—but just call me Rob.

I’m an artist, organic & digital experimentalist, photographer, and an all-around curious thinker 

based in the wonderfully weird state of Texas. My love for creating started before I could spell ...

CREATE—remembering my first Crayon around three—and I’ve never really stopped. 

Along the way, I’ve picked up a couple of awards, plenty of life entertainment related experiences, 

and a grateful heart 

for the journey.

I graduated with honors in both English and Art before slidin' in with a bit of -let's say "flare"

To the Art Institute of Dallas, which gave me a solid foundation and an even bigger appetite for storytelling

—whether visual, written, or something in between. 

Since then, I’ve worked with major companies in Austin as both a designer and printer, sharpening my technical skills while keeping my creative spark alive.

In January 2020, (Remember that year?) I launched Odd Hourz Creative, an online gallery where I could pour all my passions into one place. It end up in a few places LOL. In the mix, I had the incredible opportunity to be commissioned a mural for Hilton’s lobby at their 2020 Austin location—an experience that reminded me how iconic art can be in shaping spaces and moods. What a journey!
